ACCOMMODATION: CHECK IN/OUT & PRICES

Arrival – Departure

  • At Hotel Discovery check in is after 15:00 and check-out is until 11:00.
  • Upon entering the hotel, the customer is required to show an identity card or passport as well as to sign the registration form.

    No Show
  • No-show bookings will be valid until 22:00 on the day of arrival, after which we will have the right to offer the room for sale, unless the guest has informed us of a late arrival.
  • In case of no-show, 100% of the total accommodation cost is charged.
  • No refunds.

Delayed Room Evacuation

In the event that guests fail to vacate their room before 11:00 on the day of termination of the reservation, and only if the room is available, surcharges corresponding to half a day’s rental apply. In the event that the customer is unable to vacate the room before 18:00 on the day of termination of the reservation, surcharges corresponding to the full day’s rent apply.

The listed prices of our rooms:

  • are in euros, per room and per night.
  • include VAT and municipal tax.
  • they do not include the overnight stay fee of €1.5 per night, in force from 01/01/2018 (LAW 4389/2016 | GOVERNMENT A 942016)
  • do not include breakfast.

Use of Breakfast

  • Breakfast hours are 8:30-10:30
  • The charge for the use of the breakfast is calculated per day and per person
  • If the breakfast fee is not included in your reservation and you want to have breakfast please inform our reception from the day before where the payment is made.
  • Breakfast service is provided only in the restaurant area and you are not allowed to bring food outside of this area.
  • If you have allergies, please inform a member of our staff upon your arrival.

    CLEANLINESS POLICY

  • A daily cleaning service is available for both the rooms and the common areas.
  • Sheets and towels are changed every 3 nights.
  • In case you want to change to another one, from the scheduled day, please inform the reception. This service has an extra charge.

CUSTOMER AGE LIMIT

  • The minimum age for guests allowed to stay at the hotel is 18 years.
  • Guests under the age of 18, unaccompanied by an adult, will not be able to check-in and their reservation will be automatically canceled without refund.

    CHILDREN’S POLICY

    Accommodation for Children and Babies
  • For children under 4 years of age, the stay is free.
  • Children aged 4 and over are charged full adult prices
  • At our hotel we will be happy to offer you a free cot and/or child seat, upon request and availability prior to your arrival.

    Children’s Use of Breakfast
  • For children up to 4 years old, breakfast is offered free of charge.
  • For children from 4 to 12 years old, the charge is 70% of the full price.
  • For children over 12 years of age, the charge for breakfast is full.

    PET POLICY
  • Only companion dogs are allowed, after consultation with the hotel and presentation of the necessary documents. The entry and stay of other pets in the hotel is prohibited as we do not have the appropriate spaces. Any exceptions are at the absolute discretion of the hotel management.

    SMOKING POLICY
  •   Smoking is prohibited in the rooms, corridors and all closed areas of the hotel. In case it is found that smoking took place in a room, the hotel will charge a cleaning fee of €250 to the customer’s account before or after check out.

Pool Regulations

  • The use of the pool is from 09:00 am. until 21:00
  • All children under the age of 18 should only use the pool under the supervision of a parent-guardian. The hotel is not responsible for any incidents or accidents caused by children not being supervised by a parent-guardian.
  • The consumption of food and drinks outside of the bar menu is prohibited in the pool area.

Playground Regulations

  • All children up to 10 years old are allowed to use the playground only under the supervision of a parent-guardian.
  • The hours of use of the playground are from 11:00 am. -14:30 and 17:00-21:00.
  • The hotel bears no responsibility for incidents – accidents due to the non-supervision of children by a parent – guardian.

In-room kitchen use policy

  • The room should be ventilated during and after each type of cooking (pause of air conditioning and opening of windows)
  • Guests are responsible for cleaning used utensils.

    Policy for use of BBQ facilities
  • The use of the BBQ is free.
  • Please respect the common quiet hours 14:30-17:00 and 23:00-07:00
  • At the end of using the facilities, leave the area clean and return the cooking utensils to your rooms.

PRIVACY

Your privacy and personal data are protected in accordance with Greek and European Law (GDPR).

Identity or passport details such as name, surname, nationality, contact details, such as telephone, email, booking details such as date and time of arrival and departure, type and number of room, Tax Registry number and relevant DOU (invoices) credit or debit card details, are data which the hotel will not pass on to third parties other than their service providers and only to complete the booking process.

Credit card information from our guests or potential guests is not stored and does not remain in our possession after your stay has ended, even if for any reason it has been disclosed to us.

CCTV RECORDER

For reasons of public safety, Hotel Discovery has installed and operates a security system, using surveillance and recording cameras and Indoor Closed Circuit Television Recorder equipment. The legal basis for this processing is DIRECTIVE 1/2011 (No. Prot. C/EX/2274/31.03.2011).

Recorded data does not go outside the premises of Hotel Discovery by any means and for any reason, except for the investigation of illegal acts or serious security incidents, for a specific recording of a specific period of time and always with the written permission of the Security System Supervisory Committee.

REFUSAL OF ACCOMMODATION

Hotel Discovery reserves the right to refuse accommodation to any person without notice and to terminate any booking immediately without question of any refund or compensation to the customer for the following reasons:

  • Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the detention policy
  • The reservation has been paid for by fraudulent means
  • Persons checking in are under 18 years of age, or do not have a registered guardian who has been officially assigned the role of guardian by signing the relevant authorization form from the hotel upon prior written notice.
  • If the person checking in is not or cannot prove with valid official documents that they are the person listed on the booking confirmation
  • If a visitor does not agree to complete / sign the registration form
  • If the visitor does not agree to provide a valid passport or ID
  • If the guest’s level of hygiene is deemed unacceptable
  • If the visitor is a carrier of a communicable disease
  • If people checking in are intoxicated and/or need medical attention
  • In case of any form of violent or anti-social behavior towards hotel staff or guests

RESERVATIONS: ADVANCE PAYMENTS, CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS

Refundable Reservations:
(30/14/7 days policy)

  • A 30% deposit is required to finalize your booking. This deposit is paid within 4 working days from the moment of booking.
  • For any cancellation made more than 30/14/7 days from the day of arrival, there are no cancellation fees. Cancellations less than 30/14/7 days respectively, or in case of no-show, there will be no refund and 100% of the deposit will be charged.

    Non-refundable Reservations:
  • A 100% non-refundable deposit is required to finalize your booking. This deposit is paid within 4 working days from the moment of booking.
  • No cancellations allowed and no refunds.

Amendments to Reservations

  • You have the possibility to modify your reservation if your reservation is not through a non-refundable price policy up to 21 days before your arrival.
  • Reservation modifications are subject to current availability and room rates may vary due to seasonal rate fluctuations and are related to the time of reservation.

Note: Exceptions to these rules may be granted in special circumstances and are subject to the discretion of the hotel to provide agreements on this basis.

CREDIT – DEBIT CARD ADVANCES

  • The hotel has the right to charge the agreed advance from the moment of booking.
  • In case your card is not valid, the reservation is automatically cancelled.
  • You are given the option to replace with a valid card within 24 hours of being notified of the unsuccessful billing process.
  • If you are unable to provide us with your new card details with the required balance then the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking

Our hotel accepts payments via POS with the contracted cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Revolut.

3. Payment by bank transfer – deposit to the company bank account under the name AFOI SERGOUDI O.E.

  • Please send us a copy of your payment receipt by email to info@hoteldiscovery.gr
  • Payment by bank transfer must be completed and visible in our account before your departure from the hotel.
  • Please fill in the name of the person with whom the reservation has been made as a reason to the beneficiary.
  • Fees for interbank transactions are borne by the principal

Payment of Bills

  • Payment of the remaining amount of the reservation is made upon your arrival at the accommodation by credit card or cash.
  • For any extra charge that may arise, please settle your bill no later than the day before your departure from the hotel.

Refunds

If a refund is required, it will be processed less bank transfer charges/fees and currency fluctuations/exchange rate discrepancies in case of exchange.

GENERAL HOTEL REGULATIONS

  • The customer must behave politely to the hotel staff as well as to the other guests and to respect the common quiet hours 15:00-17:00 and 23:00-07:00 .
  • The customer must not cause damage to the room provided to him as well as the common areas of the hotel.
  • Customers are required to indemnify the hotel before they leave for any damage or loss of attachment caused to the property by customers during their stay, whether caused by accident or intentional
  • More than the number of people specified on your reservation is not allowed.
  • A person who is not a guest has no right to enter or remain on the hotel premises. Nor can one host guests on the hotel premises without the hotel’s official consent
  • It is forbidden to move furniture in and outside the rooms.
  • Pets of any kind are prohibited in the hotel
  • It is forbidden to carry and use outside the rooms linen towels and other articles of clothing for reasons of hygiene and safety
  • It is forbidden to use the pool under the influence of an excessive amount of alcohol.
  • The use of illegal substances is prohibited in all areas of the hotel.

    In the event that the customer violates the provisions of this regulation, he can be considered as unwanted and the hotel management is entitled to demand within 24 hours to leave the hotel and vacate the room of his luggage without any refund.

Damages

  • Guests are requested to report any damage or equipment malfunctions to the hotel reception within the first hour of their arrival in the room allocated to them for their stay. Any damage within the room beyond this point may be deemed to be caused, intentionally or unintentionally, by the guests occupying the room.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to any room or hotel grounds or property caused by guests or their entourage (whether or not staying at the hotel) during their stay.
  • Customers must indemnify the hotel prior to departure for any damage or loss caused to the hotel or customer property during their stay.
  • Hotel Discovery reserves the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details and to charge or debit such amounts in its sole discretion to such card(s) to offset or cover the loss, damage, costs or expenses incurred or incurred by the hotel as a result of the foregoing. In the event that a room remains out of service for an extended period of time until the aforementioned damages are repaired, Hotel Discovery may also request compensation for the cost of this period of forced inactivity.
  • Regardless, Hotel Discovery reserves the right to take legal action against guests whose behavior is deemed illegal, violent or degrading, without any warning.

VALUABLE CUSTOMER ITEMS

  • Upon arrival, the customer must notify a member of our reception and submit in writing and accurately all valuables and money in their possession and state whether they wish to use their storage at our hotel’s main box office . Otherwise, the hotelier is not responsible for their possible loss.
  • For other items brought into the hotel by the customer, the hotelier is exempted from any responsibility, if the damage or loss is due to the negligence of the customer or the persons who accompany him or visiting him.
  • Also, the hotelier is released from any responsibility if the damage, destruction or loss is due to force nature (earthquake, fire, etc.)
  • In the event of a theft report and claim by the customer, his/her claims that his/her valuables were damaged, destroyed or stolen through the fault of the hotel must be able to be proven and that the items have the claimed value.
  • Any compensation arising from the hotel to the customer covers only the actual (not commercial) value of the item (minimum reduced by 35% of its proven original value)
  • False claims/complaints are condemned as fraud. The hotel reserves the right to take legal action against persons who aim to make illegal/false claims and damages and to demand monetary damages against any malicious attempt to harm the hotel’s staff, guests and reputation.
